About Us

About Us

Religious Education is a ministry of the Catholic Church designated to assist families in Catholic faith formation and in sacramental preparation of their children.

We offer a continuous program for students in Kindergarten through 7th grade or year 2 of Confirmation. Curriculum is based on Scripture, Roman Catholic doctrine, and high school sacramental preparation, prayer, traditions, and principles in an age appropriate setting.

The effectiveness of our program is dependent upon respect and cooperation between the students, parents and our staff.

Religious Education is held in the safe environment of our Mother of Our Redeemer School ground. All staff and volunteers are screened according to the guidelines of the Archdiocese of Miami Safe Environment office.

Vision Statement

Our vision for every child is a personal love of Christ and an understanding of his mission to the world.
Religious Education at Mother of Our Redeemer Church is a religious formation program for children dedicated to inspiring a thorough knowledge of God and the witness of Christian love. It desires to build an understanding of the basic beliefs of the Roman Catholic faith and encourage our children to carry those beliefs out into the world.

Mission Statement

Mother of Our Redeemer’s mission in Religious Education is to ultimately help our children of the parish experience the presence of God in their lives and to learn who Jesus Christ is by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It aims to follow the ways of Jesus Christ through Catholic teachings of the Faith, creatively engage them in the learning process, and to give them hope in their Salvation.
Our program offers guidance and direction for the six fundamental tasks of catechesis:

  • Promoting knowledge of the faith
  • Liturgical education
  • Moral formation
  • Prayerful experiences
  • Community atmosphere
  • Missionary experience

Through these tasks, we attempt to help every child attain an intimate relationship with God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and the Catholic Church.
